Pandora has just released a new list of Pandora Charms that they will be retiring, beginning the end of September.
What this means is that once stocks run out of any of the Pandora beads on the latest list of retired beads, you will no longer be able to purchase them. So, if any of the Pandora charms in the list are some that you were thinking of purchasing at some point, you might want to re-think your purchase schedule as if you wait too long they may not be available.

It seems that for this batch of retired Pandora charms they are targeting many of the gold charms with ruby insets, as well as some of their silver charms. Hopefully, this is an indication that the new Fall 2016 Pandora charm selection will be coming out soon. I think many people are poised, waiting on tip-toe for the new beads to hit the shops, myself included! I can’t wait to see what will be in this newest batch of charms so I can add a charm to my gold charm bracelet.
In the meantime, here is a list of some the Pandora charms that are being retired. Again, if there are any that were thinking about getting some time, you might want to go ahead right away and purchase them, or at least put them on your Christmas wish-list so that someone will get them for you over Christmas. And if you think you are going to be clever and buy up a whole slew of retiring Pandora Charms, think again. Many shops are reserving the right to limit the number of retired beads any one person buys, so that plan may not work as well as you had hoped it would.
Beautiful Pandora Charms
I have said in the past that Pandora bracelets are the “heart” of any Pandora charm bracelet. So if that is true, what are Pandora charms? They are of course the “soul” of the Pandora charm bracelet! It is the charms that will give your bracelet that very personal look and feel. Since all the charms are selected by you, they represent your favorite things, the things that you love, and most of all, your personality! What else should you know about Pandora charms? Read this!
Authentic Pandora charms will always have a stamp on them, either “ALE925” on the silver-based ones, or “ALE585” on the gold-based ones. That’s the best way to be sure you have the real thing.
Retired Pandora charms are actually large-hole beads that have ridges, or ‘threads’ on the inside of the hole. These threads let the charm beads twist easily over the bracelet’s threaded section spacers. There are even special “snap” beads you can get that will clamp over the threaded spacers to hide them. These snap beads blend in with the rest of the charms on the bracelet, so you have a very streamlined look.
You will find these charms in both silver and gold, as well as Murano glass. Some charms also have gemstones in them. They come in many different shapes and colors, so you can get very personal with them. You may want your bracelet to be all glass in certain colors, all gold or silver, or a wonderful mix of all of the above. Some charms also have “dangles” that will look like more traditional hanging charms. The only problem you will have is deciding which of the hundreds of designs to choose from!
It is important to remember not to clean your Pandora charms with any harsh chemicals, or even commercial jewelry cleaner. You also should not wear them in a pool, spa, or hot tub. It would probably be a good idea to remove your bracelet while you shower, or do housework or dishes. Also, do not use silver polish on them. You can clean them easily with warm water and mild soap and a small brush. Before using any polishing cloth on them, consult a Pandora dealer to see if it is one that can be used on these charms.
Designing a Pandora charm bracelet is easy – just pick the charms you love. You don’t have to stop at just enough to fill a bracelet, you know. Because it is so easy to add to or take beads off of the bracelets, you can have a totally new bracelet to wear with every outfit you own. If you have another piece of jewelry you would like to match to your bracelet, like an opal ring, or maybe your pink cubic zirconia rings, you can do that easily by choosing charms that will coordinate with those pieces.
You may want to read more about the types and styles of Pandora bracelets that are available also, so you know all about the entire Pandora jewelry system before you shop. Pandora charms are fun, beautiful and are full of soul and personality. Just make sure you get authentic retired Pandora charms for your bracelet, treat them with care, and most of all, let them show the world who you are!

Pandora Jewelry And Charms For Any Budget
These days pretty much everyone has heard of Pandora jewelry and the different beads and charms used in putting these pieces together. What most women like about retired Pandora charms is that they are designed uniquely unlike other traditional pieces found in stores. The reason for this is that you can mix and match each bracelet or necklace since it is sold in individual parts. This way you will have your very own one of a kind jewelry piece. Designers also have ready-made pieces, which they have created that you can opt to purchase instead.
Various materials are used in making these beautiful Pandora bracelets. Beads can be found in ceramic, glass, and wooden designs. On the other hand, charms can be found in different shapes and styles catering to all women and their unique personalities. With the many options available, these pieces can be matched easily with any outfit. When availing of discount Pandora selections, you will be able to save money and purchase more items for your different styles.
When browsing through a Pandora store or their website, you will discover distinct creations of necklaces, bracelets, and earrings, which are all great pieces offered by their product line. If you enjoy creating and designing your own unique jewelry pieces, there are also individual items for sale to create your one of a kind piece. The cords and chains used to put the charms and beads together are also available in jewelry shops that offer Pandora products. Use their store locator online to find a location in your area. If there aren’t any shops in your area, there are several online shops that sell these jewelry pieces as well. With Pandora pieces, you are sure to feel special as you create a piece that is perfect for you.
Pandora Costume jewelry has become increasingly popular over the last few years mainly because the price of gold, silver, and platinum has been skyrocketing which in turn raises the price of precious metal jewelry. Costume jewelry has taken leaps and bounds in the quality of material used, secondly, the variety of designs available and the marketing strategy of holding home-based jewelry parties have allowed people to make a few extra dollars from home and have eliminated the high cost of storefronts, insurance and other expenses associated with a traditional jewelry store. The great thing about Pandora’s selection is you have the flexibility of choosing from their wide range of materials and pricing so you can find something for any budget, on the high end you could choose a white gold bracelet for over $1,000 or you could find a silver charm bracelet for under $100, take your time and select the perfect piece just for you.

Pandora Charms: Start Yours Today
Pandora charms have quickly become a tradition for many today. The vast variety of retired Pandora charms available today make it the perfect gift for any woman, and there is something for everyone no matter what their particular tastes in jewelry.
Every woman has a different tradition for collecting Pandora charms. Some buy the bracelet and charms right away, others like to start off with one or two and then add to them over time. They are also perfect gifts for special occasions such as birthdays, wedding or engagements, the birth of a new baby, graduating from high school or any other important occasion.
Prices range from $40 to over $1,000. Within that range, there is sure to be something affordable. Bracelets are available in Sterling Silver, Oxidised Sterling Silver or 14ct Gold. The full range of Pandora Charms includes beads made from sterling silver; Murano glass beads, Sterling silver with gold, Silver beads with gold letters, Sterling silver beads and letters, Sterling silver with gemstones.
There is an unlimited variety in the design too, including flowers, crowns, fruit, snowflakes, baby buggies, school hats, hearts, smiling faces to name but a few designs.
Spacers, used to separate the beads, are even affordable for the youngest child to give as a present to an older sibling, mother or grandmother.
There are always new Pandora charms being released while other older beads are retired. There is also a fairly good trade in retired Pandora Charms, as oftentimes people are looking for beads that can no longer be bought in the regular jewelry shops. Some popular beads that have been retired include the Pandora charms with Chinese letters on them, the cell phone, the Coke can, and some of the animal shapes.
The spring 2009 release of Pandora charms includes silver purses, animals, and decorative beads. There is also a new release of colorful Murano glass along with four new styles of gold beads.
Every Pandora Charm Bracelet is unique because you make it that way. If you want the casual look, use the Sterling Silver Pandora charms. If you’re looking for a more snazzy look, choose the gold charms. Or mix gold with some precious stone beads. A little imagination and creativity and you’ll have a new look for every occasion.
How to Clean your Pandora Charms
- Use a silver polishing cloth and wipe your bracelet before and after you wear it.
- Don’t use liquid jewelry cleaner, it may damage your bracelet.
- Store jewelry in a plastic bag, or plastic lined case when you’re not wearing it.
How can you tell if your Pandora charms are real:
- Most Pandora Charms are marked with the letters ALE and either 925ss for silver or 585 for gold items. This is the jeweler’s hallmark. The mark will usually be on the charm itself or marked on a small attachment.
- Buying Pandora charms from unauthorized dealers, or off eBay may be risky, as you can’t be sure that you are buying the genuine item.
New Retired Pandora Charms 2018 Collection
As usual, the new release of Pandora charms for 2018 is stunning and a great addition to the Pandora bead collection. Not only are there new charms to add onto the bracelets but you can also find new leather bracelets, earrings, rings, and pendants—many of which nicely complement the charms.
Rather than going into detail on all of the newly released charms, I will highlight a few here as well as documenting any new ‘group’ releases of which there were a few.
Perhaps the most stunning charm released with this new batch is the 14ct Gold Crown Charm that is studded with diamonds. Naturally, being made from gold and having diamonds on the crown, this is the most expensive charm out of the newer batch. Currently, it retails for around $700. It looks great, though, and would be a very classy addition to any Pandora charm bracelet.
If that is a little too pricey for you, there were also several new silver and gold beads released. While you will still probably pay close to $100 or more for these charms, they are much more moderately priced and yet they are absolutely—dare I say it—charming! This spring’s release includes two identical Mother Nature charms, one with a black onyx jewel and one with an orange moonstone set in the charm. For slightly more you can purchase a silver and gold daffodil charm that also is set with tiny diamonds. Finally, there is a stunning silver and gold Martini Cocktail dangling charm. My preferences are for either the gold daffodil or the Martini Cocktail, though I think the cocktail will win for me!
Speaking of dangling charms, there are also several new silver charms. One has a pearl dangling from the ornate charm while other more simple charms feature either a Cornelian drop, a pink Opal drop, or an Onyx drop. Drop charms are great as they add a lot of character to a Pandora Charm bracelet, but the downside is that they sometimes ‘catch’ on things. Still, if you are a careful wearer you should not have a problem with the drop or dangling charms.
There is also a set of silver charms with embedded stones going around the bead. The stones included on these charms are an Amethyst, Cornelian, Pink Opal, Silver Moonstone, Blue Topaz, Orange Moonstone, Onyx, and Garnet Cabochon stones. For those not familiar with cabochons, they are merely stones that have been shaped and polished rather than cut and shaped with facets or sides to the stones. I was not so impressed with these charms. They are fairly blasé, nothing outstandingly extraordinary, but they are somewhat functional. If you want to add a touch of color to your bracelet, or you are looking for a cheap yet colorful bead to blend in with your already existing creation, they will work admirably. Nothing to write home about, however!
If you are interested in the Murano glass beads you will be happy to hear that there is a great new collection of candy-striped Murano glass Pandora charms released and the design is quite catching. I actually really like the Murano glass bead collection. They are colorful, great for spacing beads out and they are fairly cheap. They are also a very hardy type bead. Nothing is going to damage them, and there are no little parts to detach or anything like that. To me, they are better for adding color and a bit of a splash to your bracelet than the rather ‘boring’ Sterling silver ‘with a stone’ releases that Pandora has been shipping out lately!
Perhaps you are interested in animals? Well, Pandora is offering up new silver animal charms including a Kangaroo and baby joey, a silver chick and a scarab, which for the uninformed is usually called a dung beetle!
Finally, there are some fairly nondescript enamel beads in the Pandora Spring 2010 charms that are ‘okay’. Nothing impressive really, aside from the yellow silver sun charm which would add a happy splash of color to your bracelet.
I can’t say I was incredibly impressed with the latest release of Pandora beads, I think other seasons have seen more variety and more creativity with the beads. Still, there were a lot of other releases this spring including bracelets, earrings, rings, and necklaces which show that Pandora Jewelry is actually expanding their lines quite a bit and not depending solely on the charms.
New Fall 2018 Pandora Charms On Their Way Soon
If you are wondering what Fall 2018 retired Pandora Charms (or Spring 2018 Pandora Charms for all of the Aussies) are coming out, there is quite a great collection in store for you. In fact, if you want to take a sneak peek at what the new lineup is you can check: Pandora’s Facebook where you can see fourteen of the soon to be released beads in their Pandora Fall 2016 preview.
For those who just want a brief summary of what is in store with the Pandora Fall 2018 beads, here are some of the charms you can expect to see shortly:
Silver, gold, and diamond
- I would hazard a guess that this one may be fairly expensive.
- Silver butterfly friendship charm: This is unusual in that it can be divided into two separate parts. The silver charm is engraved with “friends forever” on the inside of both charms and there are tiny silver dangling butterflies. This would make a great gift for a girlfriend, you could keep one half and give her the other half. Or, you could both split the cost for the charm and each wear one.
- Silver and Gold: Silver charm with several gold stars emblazoned around the outside of it.
- A silver airplane (or airplane, depending on where you come from) charm, a great reminder of travels.
- New silver number charm, with a dangling number that is set with garnets. You can find all the numbers from zero to nine. I suppose you would combine two numbers and give it as a birthday gift. Or you could buy two charms, the “2” and the “5” for a silver wedding anniversary gift. The charm itself is very simple and plain however the dangle is nicely shaped.
- A round silver charm with enamel hearts set around the outside. The enamel in the picture seems to be purple, but it is also available with red or black enamel hearts.
- A silver witch sitting on a broomstick. I’m not sure who you should give that to. I guess it would make an ideal Halloween charm. Or perhaps you could give it to your mother-in-law! Lol. Just kidding; it would be a great new Halloween charm though and it actually looks quite cute.
- Silver ridged charm with small salmon colored cubic zirconia stones around the middle. It is also apparently available with black or clear zirconias.
- A silver dangle charm that looks a bit like a triangular pineapple (sorry) with a diamond set in gold on the front and a pearl dangle. Again, could be pricey.
- Silver charm with swirling patterns and red, amber or clear cubic zirconia stones. Does not really look that fantastic, but the colored stones could be good if you are trying to color coordinate a bracelet and need a silver charm to finish it off with.
- An absolutely gorgeous gold patterned charm with rhodolite or onyx cabochons set around it. I love the gold charms and this one, especially with the rhodolite stone looks stunning. I always have been a great fan of that combination though, so it may not look as great to everyone else.
- A silver cow charm. I am not a fan of Pandora’s animal charms, they always look a little chunky and cartoonish to me. What I would love to see is a svelte cat that actually looks like a tiny black cat, may be made from black Murano glass. Now that would be something! The cow does seem to be a fairly happy cow at least.
- A gold flower clip. Nice to see some gold in the line-up and for a clip, it looks great, but not stunning by any means.
- Silver charm with diamonds set around it in small gold settings.
It would be great to see the whole line-up, however, I have not been able to track down the entire Pandora Fall 2016 collection yet.
The release date for the new retired Pandora Charms Fall 2016 will probably be some time in September. Be on the lookout for the beads that will be retired at that time too and remember, if you have had your eye on any, to buy them up while they are still available.
There will also be four new Murano glass beads with flower designs on them in orange, black, soft pink and soft green.
Bought one of these today, looks great on my bracelet, got it for my son’s birthstone. The only downside for me is the filigree on the side isn’t cut out as it looks it’s solid with some black accents.
This charm looks so nice, and it is beautiful… It also paired with the rest! Truly beautiful! Highly recommended.
Wonderful post! I got this retired Pandora charms for my wife for the anniversary. My wife loved it, she added it to her Pandora bracelet collection. She wears her bracelet regularly, and in a few months of wear, there is absolutely no sign of use on the charm.
